So I've finished the game once again & am still toying with the idea of getting NWN2, but am still wary of all the bug/ play horror stories. Have they since come up with patches for all of it? But I'm afraid to uninstall ToEE only because of all the trouble I had INstalling it. Patches, the no-cd 'crack' not working the 1st million tries, visiting oddball websites for fixes, the spinning disc icon that won't go away, etc. I *wanna* make room for another game should I get NWN2, but geez, if I sometime down the road, decide to play ToEE again, I Really don't wanna have to face all that again.
I guess it all depends on how large your hard drive is and what your available free space is. On my HD TOEE takes up about 2.5G, and I know that NWN@ will be about 5 times as much. If you have an external HD, you could transfer TOEE to that and then try NWN2. NWN2 has had pretty good updates and with the extra modules is a pretty fun game for what it is.
Personally I highly recommend NWN2. If you enjoy player made content, adventures, monsters, voices, special effects and lots of other cool stuff it's an awesome game to have. I'm very biased on this of course due to being one of the folks that enjoys making adventures for NWN2. My NWN2 install is HUGE! this is because of all the player made content I prefer. Patch 1.23 has been out for a while and my copy runs great. Hard drives aren't that expensive anymore, maybe pick up a bigger one and then you can have all kinds of games pre-loaded.
