So, the group completed some of the quests and was offered a masterwork weapon. I chose my cleric to receive it in hopes of getting a master work mace, morningstar, or flail. He got a shovel. WTF???
Oops  The game tries to tailor a weapon for you by checking for WF or other weapon-specific feats. If that character has none, you get something interesting.
By that logic, I should have gotten a light crossbow. He has rapid reload and PB shot, even a masterwork bow would have been well received though it would have went to my elvish wizard
If you have PB shot it *should* give you a MW light Xbow. (just tested to verify that it does) Note that it goes by the character you pick when he asks for the recipient, not the character who initiates conversation. If you are certain it doesn't give a XBow in that case, please post a save.
How come when I upgrade this MW crossbow to a crossbow of accuracy, I cannot add any plusses or anything to it? It also shows a resale value of 6 cp. LOL.
Sorry I missed this first time round. Not sure why you can't then craft it, if that what you are asking - its magic - but otherwise addressed this issue in the bug thread.
