Well, I read in the patch notes for Templefronted and Co8 4.0 that you could do this after installing them. However, it's really not clear to me how to do this. I've searched the forum quite a bit but havnt been able to come up with an answer - So if someone could tell me how I'd appriciate it very much.
Or do you mean withih the game? There won't be a slot for them. Just click "add" and they'll be in your party but their portrait won't show up until you begin adventuring.
another question about more PC's.. I have selected 8 PC's (and 0 NPC's) in my party, made eight characters, added them to my team. When I start adventuring I start with the five characters I added first, and not with all eight. I checked the tavern in the hope the remaining three would meet me there, but alas.. Do they join me in a later period, or is it something else? thanks in advance
ah yes, now I remember. thank you, it was a long time ago since I played this game. Edit: hmmm I can spawn them (one at a time) but cant group with them. They appear with a green circle, and when I talk to them they only say 'hi'. If I remove a character from my party, and add a new one, the new one is added, and the old one is removed though the 'add character-menu' still says he is in the group
Sounds like there's something wrong with your install. Question for those more knowledgable, does the PC Count patcher work for only Co8 mods, or will it work with vanilla ToEE as long as you run it properly (or modify it from the front end.)?
Don't know the answer to your question Kal, but the problem Ekimus describes indicates something's definitely screwy with his install. Your full compliment of PCs should begin the game with you, though they won't all show up in the character creation section, as whatsername pointed out. Guest books are supposed to be for adding different PCs once the game's already going. Dulcaoin never involved the use of the guest book in his patch.
Well, the reason I was asking was if it doesn't work with vanilla ToEE, then it's possible he hasn't selected the right module when starting the game. If it does work, then yeah, his install is frakked.
