We can only wait and see if it's just lip service, or are they serious about keeping their ever shrinking fan base.
Okay, so are they admitting that 4th edition is boring? Or is this yet again another attempt to obselete what we've already bought and cash in again? I say keep the dumbed down version and let the rest of us play what we want, when we want. Go ahead and recognize that D&D players haven't ever been a homogenous group. They should provide support for all the active players if they want better relations with them.
