    Hi all,

I did a fresh re-install with vanilla TOEE, patches 1 and 2 and the above mentioned mod. What I'm noticing is that Humble NPCs does nto work. They refuse to let go of their magical items and they are still looting. When I took a look at the protos.tab file I noticed nothing about the NPCs were changed. What I also noticed is that in the options Humble NPCs is greyed out checked. The starting store does show up so the mod is being loaded I guess. I have not checked th eother features.

Anyone know what's wrong with this?

A somewhat modified version of humble_npc is in effect in the game and should be working.

What does that mean? So NPCs not dropping their items is working as intended?

They should not be looting: you have a problem. Are they looting everything a la vanilla or just something specific? Because 'no drop magic items' is intended: you can't just recruit Furnok and nick his magic ring, or strip Elmo, or whatever: that is deliberate.

On the other hand, the 'NPCs don't loot to encumbrance and steal the good stuff' is a pre-Humble NPCs fix. If you can read protos.tab, you should find all the items still set to 'No NPC pickup'.

Give us more info and we can fix this :)

I am playing 5.8.1 and Furnok give up his ring and knife right away, Elmo does not want to do this though.
Serena also doesn't care about her ring either.

I was going to craft up Elmos' battleaxe but he wouldn't give it up. So it got replaced with the earth troop commanders axe. His chainmail was replaced with Belsornigs +1Plate. He stays encumbered even with +2Gauntlets. Needs a belt+6 and he'll be good to go.

Thanks, Shiningted. I actually thought that NPC looting was controlled by the Share Amount column and since Elmo still has it there assumed it was not working like it should. What controls items that are locked to the NPCs?
