just unpack 'Circle of Eight Modpack 5.8.0 BETA.tfm' to toee's directory, then run game with patch2 nocd crack. the game works fine. What problems will I encounter? ps. I do not have permission to install .net 2.0.
AFAIK, the 5.8 modpack will not install at all without the TFE-X frontend, which requires .NET. I've read the .tfm file is simply a renamed .zip, so if you know your way around the ToEE file structure and can manipulate .zip files you may be able to extract the mod manually (though I know I would hose up the process myself,) but the current Co8 mod structure isn't designed to run without TFE-X. Can I ask why you can't install .NET? What op sys are you running? If it's Vista or Win 7, it probably has an acceptable version of .NET pre-installed.
You don't have to install .NET. You just have to have it on your computer. Just install ToEE, patch 2 then 5.8.0. Don't worry about the rest unless you have difficulty.
After re-reading the OP, it sounds like olol got the mod installed without the frontend already. If this is the case, I think it should run ok, the only difference might be you won't have access to the options available in the frontend, such as changing the PC/NPC ratio away from the stock 5 PC/3 NPC party, and no option to set things like Max HP on levelup.
for options ,read this: ---------------------------------------------------------- In order to lock the options you need to create a file "lockout.ini" (without the quotation marks) which should reside in the "modules/ToEE" folder of your TFM package (see above for the exact location). Inside, type in one or more of the following in order to lock out the features: HumbleNPCs=false (will force Humble NPCs to always be disabled) HumbleNPCs=true (will force Humble NPCs to always be enabled) MaxHPPerLevel=false (will force Max HP Per Level to always be disabled) MaxHPPerLevel=true (will force Max HP Per Level to always be enabled) ModifyMaxPlayers=false (will disable the Modify Max Players in Party feature) Other options can't be locked out at the moment but such a possibility may be implemented in the future versions in case there's demand for that.
Sometimes, but don't forget that Belsornig doesn't have the sun domain. Does anybody else not have the slightest idea what this thread is about?
