am new at elemental evil,, and i like to decap my level to 20... i used moebius temple.dll and mod pack 5.8 nc and stil my level does not cap higher than 10 what's wrong.. installation order? or something else?
You should NOT be using Moebius' .dll for one thing: the dll has come a long way since then. Use the ToEE-X front end as Argikt said, and don't worry about the level cap: it defaults to 20. Just activate the game and don't add anything else.
I'm starting to think that we should add "do not install the moebius2778 temple.dll" as an installation step, just like "do not install Atari patch 3." People seem to search the internet far and wide to find that file, even though the installation instructions never mention it. :shame:
oh yeah im using ToEE-X i've followed the installation instruction but still im stacked up to level 10... what wrong??
What did you activate? The original vanilla which is still capped at 10 or 5.8NC. All Co8 mods default to 20. The TFE-X screen says what is active. Remember 5.8 takes a good while to activate.
i activated 5.8NC after that i clicked on the play button.. after a while i still ended up to 54999 ....what else must i have to do?? HELPPPPP PLLLLZZZZZ
Are you using a no-cd crack? If you have the wrong one, you could end up with that kind of issue. If you are using one, what size is your ToEE.exe?
yeah im using a cracked one..after instaling the exe its 1.6mb or something after i copied the crack its 3.xxmb what should i do....????
That's what I thought. I use a crack too - the game simply won't run on my system without bypassing the crappy securerom. You have the original version of the no-cd crack, but you need the patch 2 version of the no-cd. Google it. The patch 2 version is much smaller than the patch 1 - it is only 17 kb zipped, and 33 kb installed. It shouldn't be too hard to find. Note that some anti-virus software will tell you this version of the crack is a trojan, but it is a false report. Makes it kind of difficult to use, depending on which anti-virus you use, but if you need it, you need it.
