Liv- I think sleep encounters should be figured a little differently. Logically a party would set up a rotating shift of watch standers. It would be pretty stupid for everyone to sleep, so you might divide the sleep length into the number of party members to determine who is standing watch at a given time, and then calculate the encounter distance from there. Of course you could just pick a random party member for the calculation, I doubt anyone would notice the difference. Another option is to just leave it the way it is. If someone cares enough, they can fix their game however they want. -Firestrand
Firestrand - That would be a disaster due to the closed and narrow maps that sleep encounters can occur on. If you did it that way monsters would constantly be in places that they can't go or in other rooms, etc... monsters in walls, etc, etc... 10 feet away could put a monster in an area that is still locked and unreachable by the party. Or it could put a monster in a wall, void area, etc... Basically you need to keep sleep encounters at 0 range so that you know that the locations are valid locations. The random encounter maps are made in such a way that there are not invalid locations. So it works there. The way I changed it with sleep encounters is that the monsters are spawned at random PC/NPC locations. Before all monsters were spawned on the party's PC leader location, now they are spawned at the locations of any of the PC/NPCs and not just the leader. - Livonya
11) I believe I have fixed all the problems with both the Porky's Revenge and Mona's Orb quests. I wanted to make some more remarks about this. I added an actual door icon/entrance to the Brothel so you no longer need to enter via dialog. There will now also be multiple ways to deal with Mickey. Some via dialog some with skills and some with violence. 12) I fixed all the problems that people were reporting with missing NPCs. Also, I am doing a data search to see if I can find any other NPCs that were turned off via scripting. 13) I fixed the woodcutter's daughter/wife... there is now a quest. (Also, Jaroo will talk about spiders). 14) I added a few more traps and randomized some more stuff. 15) I added some new special encounters. 16) I fixed 2 or 3 Quests where you could say you had already done the quest even though you had not. 17) A lot of the little things people have been reporting I have been fixing... most aren't a big enough concern to really post changes made... I am getting close to completion with Build 1.5 I just need to finish adding all the new items that people have been throwing at me. It is a lot of work to make sure they are working as advertised. - Livonya
sounds great Liv i can see ill never get tired of playing this game while your still tinkering with it. course i havent actually finished one now in sometime but its been alot more fun trying out new things than trying to finish the game
Jenelda Hey Liv, While sifting through the many end slides for the game recently, I found one that mentions an outcome that I don't believe was possible originally, maybe another of Troika's unfinished tasks? It is, specifically, the marriage or union or whatever of Jenelda (from the brothel) and a female PC, sort of the balance for the Bertram outcome, I suppose. Could/Would/Should this be completed in the interest of fleshing out Troika's original intent?
Yeah but u'd need a whole party with decent charisma. Ummmm I will ask here (as it seems appropriate) has Livonya's 1.5 patch come out that she was talking about? I have been in Melbourne watching the Eels (if that makes sense to any one). GO YOU EELS!!
