I posted this in the general forum, but thought it fits here better....

I tried loading the 5.5 modpack, and I'm getting the following error when I try to launch TOEE Front End:

"0002: Error. One of the game folders cannot be accessed! Make sure that no other application accesses the game folder, and try again."

All I did was download the 5.5 modpack and run it. Do I need to load it manually, or put it in another folder other than the TOEE folder?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You need to unpack the mod pack to your root directory folder I beleive.
ie c/progams files/atari/temple of evil and let it overwrite anything it wants.
It should come up in the frontend where you have to activate it.
This takes a bit of time.
There is an installation guide around here somewhere.

Thanks for the response - The mod pack just unpacks itself, it doesn't give me any options to overwrite anything.

I did come accross this in the TOEE Front End read me file:

"5. Whenever I start the ToEE Front-End, I keep getting errors about something accessing my ToEE folders, although I am sure that nothing is accessing the game folders at the moment. What should I do?
The errors you are getting come from the fact that a critical error has occurred in the ToEEFE file system some time before. You need to delete your “TempleFrontend.ini” file (the configuration) and restart ToEEFE to make sure that no erroneous data is left (the ToEEFE will attempt to recover itself, and will be able to do so in 99% cases)."

But I can't find the "TempleFrontend.ini" file in the root directory...

I had a similar problem once when I didn't put the mod files in the right directory.
I had to uninstall everything and then reinatall very carefully.
I don't know what else to suggest.
Once I reinstalled everything worked ever since.
I'm using xp there maybe issues with vista.

    Hmmm...Maybe that's it. I'm running Windows 7.
