I used to be able to since I always play a Chaotic Good party. On the good side, but chaotic means you don't always feel the need to follow the "lawful" path or conform to good at all times. So why now, can't I recruit the Troll Chief? I loved having him in my party.. If this is intended, can someone give me an idea of how to change it so I can recruit him? I remember also being able to recruit Scorpp, but I doubt I can now - not that I really care about him. Was this intentional? I would think the only parties not able to adventure with these guys would be Lawful Good parties.
Hmm, I tried that. The option never shows. Perhaps the intimidate requirement has been rasied. Thanks! Heh yep. I think I got him before my characters were the level they are now. So maybe Liv suprised me by upping the requirement. And on a side note, I saw my Druid's Bear companion use a trip attack on a Gnoll, then mauled him to death with the next two attacks. I never saw that before. I like it. Lots of spiffy new surprises. Thanks Livonya!
Oohlgrist needs a 12+ in intimate skills to be recruited. At least in the original game. Then the more you are above 12, the more you can ask him to lower his share of the loot.
