Game Stopping Bugs

    I fixed the two game stoppers that were found.

    My sincere appology for that...

    I really, really, really hope that there aren't more huge problems...

    I did a lot to the game, maybe too much, we will see...

    Hopefully it can all be worked out quickly...

    If there are any more game stoppers I will work like mad to fix them ASAP.

    In my defense this is a Beta release, though I admit I am a bit embarassed by those two dialog errors...

    STOP APOLOGIZING!!!!

    Everyone here is very appreciative of the work and effort you have put in. So what if there are some problems, it isn't like you were being paid, or had people do a QC before release. We are the QC, and we are supposed to see if you missed anything. You are human after all.

    I for one am just thankful that you put the time and effort into such a large mod.

    Please fix combat game stoppers

    Livonya, could you please fix the game stopper where the game sometimes goes into combat mode but the party cannot get to the monsters, due to some geographical reason (that is, the party cannot physically get to the monsters). This sometimes happens. I believe there should be a time-out function in the combat mode, so that if no character or monster hits or damages or affects another after so many rounds the combat ends and the game goes back to explore mode. This would resolve the problem of the game hanging in combat mode where no combat can actually take place (believe me this DOES happen occasionally). I don't know how many rounds of non-action could trigger the end of combat, but a suggestion might be three. What do you think ?

    Nothing I did caused this to happen. It sometimes happend before.

    That is an engine problem, and there is nothing I can do to fix the engine.

    There are some problems that happen that are simply beyond my skills.

    PS: Actually, I did just think of an interesting solution. Though I am not sure if it would work... I will think about it and see what I can do.

    Not entirely game stopping, but definately a problem that needs fixed.

    I had Oohlgrist join me. All normal..

    But if I ask him to leave, and then try to get him to join back up he says he already joined a temple and my only response available is something like "Oh yeah, I convinced you to join the Water Temple." I didn't do this, nor in this game, have I any knowledge of the water temple. So I can't get him to join back up.

    Not sure if this is part of your mod Livanya but thought I'd flag it.

    Temple Dungeon Level 2. The really laggy area where Salamanders spawn if you are KoS to Fire Temple.

    There is a Troop Commander who identifies as Bassanio if you speak to him. The conversation cannot be broken off unless you close down the game - it just loops back to the beginning. I've replicated a few times just to ensure it wasn't lag on my part causing over clicking.

    His dialogue doesn't make much sense to me but I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer so may be missing something.

    I had the same issue..gee i love u Livonya ur best..

    now i'm bit of jamed.. the fire priest keeps saying "keep going on thru"..

    i have no idea.....if sumone would point me in simple direction..i be gratefull.

    Anyone know much about editing dialog? Enough to tell me how to fix Oohlgrist? Or if you can make a minor patch dlg for me Livonya, I'd be greatful. As I am sure anyone who uses him will be.

    I don't think there is anything wrong with the script.

    It appears to me that you can get Oohlgristto join you if you are a paladin, but once he has joined you then you can ONLY get him to re-join you if you have 0 levels of Paladin in your party.

    Does any of your party have a level of Paladin?

    This happened to me and I've just finished testing it through again a few more times to ensure it can be replicated. I can confirm that I have not got any paladin levels within the party ( all my rolled characters are single class only : wiz, cleric, fighter, rogue, ranger, Elmo (pure fighter) and Melany (pure druid)). I am KoS to Water temple but not to any other temples.

    I am also KOS to Water Temple.
    I have a Chaotic Good Party. Fighter, Cleric, Barbarian/Rogue, Druid, Wizard, and Oohlgrist(Barbarian) and Darley(Sorceress).

    So.. No Paladins.


    *minor spoilers*


    Is there supposed to be 2 or 3 Juggernaughts in the Water Temple? Before there was only one. They seem to be clipping through each other. Looks kinda glitchy, just checking. Oh, and the Balor Guardian is much tougher. Even with a +20 attack I can barely hit him. Looks like I'll want to build up a lot before facing it again. Nicely done.
