In order for me to fix the damage resistance that Gnolls have in the game I have to deleate the current Gnolls and replace them with my version. This is how I fixed the Moat House Gnolls. I have not managed to fix all the other Gnolls because I don't know where they all are. Please use this thread to post the location of Gnolls that need fixing. I need to know. --- what Map were they on? --- what section of the map were they on? --- how many were there? The more you can tell me the easier it will be for me to fix them. thanks, Livonya
Other than the Moathouse, I don't recall seeing Gnolls anywhere but in encounters. And on a side note, when I talked to the Gnolls in the Moathouse, after paying them, only the speaking Gnoll left. All the others are still standing around. One or two of them just kinda walks around in the immediate area.
There are Gnolls all around in the first floor of the temple, the fire temple gnolls but also the gnolls on the south western corner of the map. Other than that I don't know if there is anything wrong with them. There are also the sekeleton gnolls.
I specifically remember them all leaving before. They would run off and eventually just fade out of existance. Not just the one who talks. Even if you didn't change them, that's fine but I do remember they all left. A quirk of no consequence.
I'll concur, every time I've paid the gnolls in the moathouse to leave, they have all left. (In fact, my very first time playing the game I watched the veritable horde of gnolls stream by my 2nd level party and thought "Thank God I didn't try to fight them.") Have not tried paying them off since applying the mod, though.
New moathouse gnolls are very hard. I've been trying to fight these guys for the last hour and a half, they keep kicking my butt, I can't beat them with out taking one or two causalties, I'm thinking they were easier when they had DR... The barbarian raged gnolls shoot up to 40 hp, thats alot for a Gnoll.
Livonya, are you going to fix the gnolls that sometimes appear as 'wandering monsters' when the party rests in the moathouse or temple 8 hours ?
These ones should already be fixed. Those are built from the same templete as the ones that I used to fix the Moathouse Gnolls and I would be amazed if the ones created for random encounters had DR. - Livonya
Kalshane - Hmmm... when I played it the first time only the leader left. When I started testing it only the leader left. I could make it so they all leave. I guess that makes sense. It would be easy to do. Do you really want them to all leave? - Livonya
I've done the moathouse NUMEROUS times, and all the gnolls vanish. They are a tough fight, so it's probably worth the 100gp to avoid it. Try it when you get to level 3 if you want.
hmmm didnt know they would do that, ive always just wiped them out. wonder if anyone else can be bought off like that
