    Okay, I've had a few days off to deal with my 5.6 duties but now I'm back in the saddle! KotB is coming along nicely, with the Goblins map being done (pic below, I can't remember if I have posted this before - note it is 'unfogged' atm but will not be at the end).

    Also, the Alchemy skill is coming along nicely, with a wide variety of acids finished (of increasing strength, cost and DC to make). Also an eruptive one that bursts into flame and causes fire damage too :) Big fun! Though the skill won't be available in ToEE (to make them) these will one day be available for sale in ToEE too.

    You should add the Electric Radioactive Acid Potion of Munchkin fame, or at least the Flaming Poison and/or Freezing Explosive Potions. ;)

    I'm not sure where to post this, as I'm not sure if it's a bug with KotB, ToEE or Vista.

    I just did a fresh install on to a vista pc. I can get KotB to load just fine. But the concentrated search on that intro screen doesn't uncover anything. I've wandered all over that (tiny) screen re-initiating the CS, and I never find anything. Is this a known "feature"? What do I do?

    Does your party have anyone with ranks in search? You need at least 3 ranks.

    Assuming you're using your concentrated search in your inventory and not the normal one (which I will later rename to 'search for traps' so there are no mistakles), I would suggest using 'Run as Administrator'. Gotta do that with Vista.

    Well, I ran the front end as Administrator... not sure how to get the game itself to run as Admin. Where exactly is the "secret" door? I'll plant my thief there and make sure to run CS from inventory. I know that a few times I ran it from the radial menu - not plain search, but CS. Still, that's worth confirming.

    The secret door is exactly where the party spawns, north of the middle caravan for memory.

    Still no go. I've got the default halfling rogue with 6 levels of search. I had her drop her armor in case it was an armor check penalty that was stopping me. In the radial menu, the search option says "Concentrated Search". That doesn't show anything. In her inventory there's the weird item that's supposed to activate CS... and it says "working" before I do anything. If I drag that to Use An Item, it says that it fails. How else do I use it if not through the radial menu?

    Will try again as admin in a sec, but then I won't be running the front end, so who knows what will happen.

    Edit: nope. I get a runtime error when I try to run TOEE.exe as an admin or not. It only launches through the front end, and then only when the front end is run as admin.

    Ahh, I think I see what is happening: you go to the inventory section of the radial menu (where you would use potions and scrolls), and choose 'Concentrated Search (working)', which is different to the normal 'search (concentrated)' option in the radial menu.

    If that don't work, I am out of ideas :blush:

    Hi guys!

    I had played the demo in juny, it was and impressive work, since then, I log everyday waiting for news... (i'm waiting for news about 5.7 too);)

    Last I know is chaos caves are filled, any other news? :dribble:

    Yeah, I am overdue for a public announcement,. Should be one within the week, the Caves are slowly coming along. Doing the Goblins now and also working on a higher-level quest for the ArchDruid.
