Hey guys (I am a newbie to these forums!)

Managed to get everything working (Some good instructions on here!) but want to know about something...

I'm having a problem with some missing line 740 of the spells.

Does this have anything to do with the .TXT file for 740 - Ray of Clumsiness or is it another matter that I should look into?

Either way I was wondering if you could just open your 740 - Ray of Clumsiness and copy and paste it in to this thread?

    Mine looks like this

    "

    School: Transmutation
    Level: Sor 1
    Level: Wiz 1
    Component: V
    Component: S
    Casting Time: 1 action
    Range: Close
    Saving Throw: None
    Spell Resistance: Yes
    Projectile: Yes
    flags_Target: Range
    inc_flags_Target: Other
    exc_flags_Target: Self
    exc_flags_Target: Dead
    exc_flags_Target: Non-critter
    mode_Target: Single
    min_Target: 1
    max_Target: 1
    radius_Target: 0
    ai_type: ai_action_offensive

    "

    Thanks for the help guys!

Hey thanks for the link, but looking for some sneaky way of sorting it out.

I think through the patches I have added* the spells have messed up.

I have *gone in* and changed the spells in some of the files (I get some shit for the fireball spell too Missing line 804 - which isn't in my spell file) but it's only that and the ray of clumsiness(I am looking for the code for this spell, no biggy if I can't find it)

and F*** AVG deleting my 33kb without asking me that's just rude! (changed to avast today!)

Anyways I'll post more details tomorrow, I got some leveling up to do! :mrhappy::blahblah:

*(patch 1 + 2 +up to date co8 + temple.zip changes((which is what i think messed it up in the first place but it was neccessary for me to work the game))

If temple.zip is the no-cd crack it shouldn't have done anything to affect the game other than letting you run it without the cd. (I have to have it just to get the game to run, too.)

Ted's add-on pack specifically mentions fixing some stuff for line 804 - my thought is that you may have accidentally mucked something up while changing spells. I could be wrong, but I suspect if you did a clean install of 5.6 + the 5.6.1 add-on you might not have those issues.

I believe temple.zip refers to moebius' .dll patch, circa Co8 3.0.4. You should not use that patch independantly.

See this thread for all Co8 mods converted for use with the new front end. All Co8 modpacks after and including 3.0.4 contain moebius' .dll edits, and 3.0.4 itself comes closest to being new content-free ... if that's what you're looking for by limiting the Co8 mods.

We don't recommend that you use custom configurations and can't really guarantee that any of them will work. As erkper pointed out and linked to, the Co8 5.6.1 patch addresses the spell list bugs you mentioned.

Adding moebius' temple.zip patch overtop an installation of Co8 5.6.0 BETA will definitely break the mod, as there have been numerous .dll upgrades since then.
