Last year when I was playing toee with 4.x or 5.0 co8 installed, I don't need to give commands to npcs during battles, and they would fight automatically. Yesterday I installed 5.06, and chose only 3 pcs so I can just control 3 characters with more npcs, however entering the first fight I found I have to give commands to all npcs. I reinstalled TOEE and installed 5.00 co8 pack this time. Still have to command all the npcs during battle.

I tried with either the humble npcs opinion on or off, but it didn't work. Is there another way for me to let fellow npcs fight without my commands? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for my poor English if the post was not clear. English is my third language. :cartman:

Third language? Cool! What are your first two?

Don't worry about your English, you communicate better than most native speakers of it!!

Look around for Avatar Du Graphite's posts. You'll get the idea!

You must be mistaken. NPCs have always been under player control in combat all the way back to vanilla ToEE. Summoned creatures and commanded undead and those kinds of things do act independantly though.

I am a native mandarin speaker and also spoke a local language which doesn't involve with writings, though I haven't spoken in it in many years.

I always had an impression that once Furok charged in, stabbing the bandits on the upper level, at the moat house area. I also remember I was shocked when the cleric/ranger who attacked with a bow, for I thought him as a pure cleric at the first glance, and should find his attack was range during the fight if I controlled him. It must be my memory serving me incorrectly, then.

    Thank you for the help.
