    ADG,

You need to be a little more careful how you articulate your opinion. Everyone has a different opinion of the portraits and everyone is entitled to that opinion. Far better to say you do not like the them. Even better submit your own self made portraits that you think are of superior quality. Let the fan base and modders decide about their inclusion in the mod. Also remember everyone may not have the same moral standards regarding nudity and partial skin showing as you do. Before you criticize remember that this project is all volunteer. No one is making any money off of it. They are giving their time and effort to extend the life of a game they like. Give constructive suggestions. Remember how you say something can be just as important as what you say.

I did a good bunch of the pc portraits!

Don't worry, i'm not offended. Any feedback is always welcome. I think that AdG just stated his personal opinion, and that's fine, i don't expect everyone likes them (just as i've consistently bashed the orignal portraits which i think they suck :p ), no need to harass him. :)

I'm not going to speak for D'Aadamo (the other guy!) cos he know what he was doing better than any of us, but personally, every pic i did has sense.
I've made them specifically to match some kind of armor or clothes in the game, of course, with some differences (and some sets of clothes and armor i had in mind for the future), and the portraits are made in a way that can be used as many classes or races.

Believe me, if a portrait maybe looks weird, is because is made on purpose...that doesn't looks exactly like a wizard? Precisely, cos it can be used as a monk or bard.
That's the point on most of the portraits, to have the most versatility out of them.

We can't do a portrait for each race, class and gender, because in the end, somebody would complaint that "hey, i have only a portrait for the male dwarf warrior!". The way we made the portraits would satisfy most of tastes. What for me can be a sorcerer, for another can be a monk.

Gaear, i'm going to kick you on the theet, i'm from Argentina! :)

Now, in regards of the drow pic, well it used to be one of my favourites too, and i knew there's going to be drama about his removal, but i fully support the decision of taking it out.
There are no drows to use, and the mod is trying to be as much as RAW possible.
    Without trying to sound rude:
if you don't like it, don't play it.

But is just a single portrait people, and doesn't even match the available classes!
    Don't let that bugs you.
The inteded portrait pack isn't complete...tbh, i didn't did half of what we wanted...so, it will be more in the future, if it's possible to add them :D

    I knew that, didn't I? Somehow I just can't get that straight.

Only give it when it's given, HK.

    Oh!!!

    Damnt!

It was not the idea, mates!!!

    Sorry for being offensive, REALLY!

I am, really, an "artist." I'm actually a professional drawer, a draw teacher and an art student. What I saw was exactly what I make with anything I have the oportunity of put my eyes on: I analyze! I have seen a lot of draws in my life, and I just put here a honest opinion, as I use to do. The images that have used photographies ARE poor in tecnical terms, trying to match with a more drawed style, and make no any sense to have "usual clothes" in the portrait, once there are no "usual clothes" in game! I'm not talking about style. THIS shall be not done. I'm talking about skill! The draws made for the game (the new ones, I mean, not the vanilla oroginal ones), in the other hand, are very good, becose they, mostly, match the itens we shall meet in the game, including colours. Of course, we will change of gear through the game, and will not beggins with the armours that match with our portraits, but we know that those itens will be there, someplace! (well, mostly, at least...)

And I have no idea of how to include my own customized portraits in the game. I have no idea of how to "mode" the game, or I'll have a lot of my own draws in the game, sure!

I think that becose of my very poor english - something I always fell sorry about - I shall not choose the right words. The intention was NOT to be ofensive (maybe rude, cose I'm rude in real life...), just to let my personal opinion, based on my knowledge and experiences, do be know. I always thing that when I put a reply here, it's my personal opinion, and in this way I always read all the other posts, as personal opinions of the other members of the forum. If it's not this way, please, let me know.

For a last time, sorry for possible offenses. Yhis was NOT the idea at all!

An honest opinion is one thing, A_d_G; saying something "S*CK!"s, is "simply terrible," is "just ugly," or is "very, very unskilled" is unnecessarily harsh and is not within the scope of constructive criticism. It would have been better to say

the first time. That is a fair and reasonably well-stated criticism.

I believe that you didn't intend to injure anybody with your words, and I do understand the language barrier, but as realmzmaster pointed out, it's important to consider your statements carefully. As near as I can tell, "SUCK," "terrible," and "ugly" are not kind words in any language and are normally reserved for moments when the intent is to injure.

But enough preaching from me, and onto technicalities ...

I'd be happy to debate the merits of your objections with you, but you still haven't specified what you're talking about. Without that, a sensible discussion can go nowhere. It would be like me saying "A_d_G's posts are foolish!" without saying which ones I thought were foolish. It's a blanket statement, and the only retort possible to anyone who doesn't agree is "No they're not!" That's hardly a productive discussion.

So if you want to pursue the matter of quality in the added portraits further, please state specifically which ones you're talking about so we can discuss them in a more informed manner. This should be easy to do. There are 12 rows of 7 portraits, so just say "Row 4, portrait 6 (or whichever)," counting left to right.

No offense taken, that's pretty much what i do. :)

As i said before, personally, i tried to match some gear in the game, or did smoe clothes/armour i had in mind to add (unfortunately, i have a very limited time lately, and new sets take a good amount of testing). And seeing at GA82, now i'll have to make a red beret...you'll see, i get my revenge! :evil_laug

Seems to for me. I'm using Vista x64 and Framework 3.5 was installed when I updated Vista. Of course, that was before installing TOEE. IF anyone has had problems using TOEE that was installed before updating to Framework 3.5, I haven't seen it.
