Whatever Happened To ...

Shining Ted's Cam-Ho Sticky, got me thinking...

We should have a Sticky for a running tab of what ever happened to some of the great folks that have been here and contributed in the past, but are no longer active. So here it is:

It is a running tab- with a comprehensive list in each successive post so as to not be a pain in the arse to look through...

Also- this is a comprehensive list of anyone with more than 225 posts who hasn't posted in a month...

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO:

Cujo- Popping in upon occasion, but not overly active.
Allyx- Drug back by the scruff of his Chainmail, occasionally. If we need him, he will come, like the Avengers.
krunch- Not modding, still visiting occasionally (and hopefully playing!)
Lord Spike- RL relaxing and playing STO mostly. He pops in upon occasion to check on us and keep his post count up, as he says
Half Knight- Stopped in recently to report for duty! Put him to word Ted, Agetian, Gaear...
Cerulean the Blue- Stolen by WoW, then EVE, but he has Returned! WB Big BLUE!!
Kalshane- MIA since Dec 2009
Emirkol the Chaotic- Crawled out of a long forgotten corner just the other day to take on the role of the Prodigal Son. Hopefully he is back for good.
Necroticpus- Left because of criticism.
Old Book- MIA
Livonya- MIA Popped in about a year and a half ago.
taltamir- MIA

Cuchulainn- MIA
Orion79- Left on bad terms
vampiricpuppy- MIA since Apr '10
ShadowDragoon- Was MIA but as of Jan 2013, back with a Smile! WB SD!

zhuge- Back after 10 years! Welcome back, to where your dreams are mere stepping stones!
Sol Invictus- MIA
darmagon- MIA
Nomad_Wanderer- Back around, hope he stays around as with all of our returning "Old-Timers"
rufnredde- Leaving the occasional, once a year "Oy!"
Heavydan85- Was MIA since Sept '10- but back, and here for another round as of Dec '11! WB HeavyD!

Templar- is back again after a few month hiatus

Since I started this some have blessedly returned- whatshername74, Zebedee, and Shining Ted (after giving a 2-weeks notice to "the Man" finally) and there have been some updates to the activity cycle of some- myself and Allyx as examples... I will actually be trying to contact anyone with 300 or more posts via email, to see what they are up to soon.

I read ait about C-Blue leaving suddenly in the forums, but that he had been in contact later privately that RL got him too and that all was forgiven/OK so..

whatsername finished finished high school and got a boyfriend so I figure she probley has better thi8ngs to do than hang around here.

maalri -- You were a regular poster when I first joined this forum, IIRC. I'm more of a lurker here, but I check back from time to time when the ToEE bug bites. There are certainly other former regulars who are currently MIA:

Kalshane

There was a Spellslinger here for awhile who helped out getting missing spells implemented IIRC.

And Old Book who wrote a very enjoyable fan fiction / walkthrough that included references to fun little bugs in the game that you modders had to go and joylessly squash. (e.g., who can forget the imagery of two ravens crapping down a shrewd hagglers back?)

I was indeed a regular poster years ago- then WoW and now I am back a bit- never modded though- I am shamefully a user not a helper- just never dedicated the time to learn it. I can answer some newbie questions upon occasion though, so I guess I am not a total waste Thanks for remembering me.

BTW Cujo- we all KNOW where you are-- seeking cookies IIRC...

maalri -- Old Book could be added also, or maybe you left him off because he's still active.

I hear you on the 'I'm not a modder' thing. I did try my hand at it 2 or 3 years ago, and created a few opponents to fight, intending to create a full-fledged new encounter for high level types -- this required editing a handful of files to set attributes, strategy, create items, etc. I could spawn them in the game and have a battle (woohoo! ), but I realized I lack the time or, more likely, the determination to follow through on the more difficult aspects of creating a fully fleshed out encounter. So, thanks again to the Co8 modders, you've done a great job continuing to fix and enhance ToEE -- I always enjoy coming back for more.

Absolutely add anyone we even THINK may need to be mentioned, that's the idea.

I mean if they are now lurkers- or even drop in once a month- it might be nice to know they are missed.

And the Modders here are TOPS- truly a great group to whom I owe many fun hours of my life.

Well it is good for keeping in touch with friends who you no longer live near. Also a great place to organize a party or other event. It has other things, but i use it a lot for those two reasons.
