I HAVE? Then why am I trying so hard? I shall apologize and eat crow. :chew: The question does, however remain: If you eat your words, what is it that you...?
In spite of the fact that several letters are missing, I must bow before a superior talent. I have to be able to see the paper to write that well. And it was done by small dogs. Never again shall I kick my literate friends. And... Finally, Lassie will be able to clearly communicate that Timmy has fallen down the well. You know, it sort of looks like a Whitman' s Sampler.
If you're a goodie, waste him. As a goodie your only shops are Nulb and Hommlet, and with Scorpp in the party you can't use either. If you were evil, you could use Lareth's shop, Lareth doesn't care about Scorpp at all. However, Scorpp does tend to make the game maybe a bit too easy after a few levels. There are 4 levels to the temple + 4 elemental planes, all of them one level, but some are pretty tough (fire and water). And you also have Zuggy's 'residence'. Never had a paladin fall, but you can't use spells anymore for one, so that's an easy giveaway.
Lareth has a shop?!? Where's this and how do you get access to it? Damn Replayability... Also, the traders shop in homlet shouldn't care, they're evil as hell. Havent tried it with scorp but they don't attack with the butchler rep.
Traders shop won't care, right. But since you're a goodie, you'll usually have killed Lareth, and will at some point want to sell off the boots maybe so that becomes unavailable. As for Lareth's shop uh it's complicated, and I don't remember all the details however, it goes something like this... Talk to Lareth, let him surrender, then let him say he wants to escort you to the temple. Head to Hommlet and let him run away, don't say you'll slaughter the villagers. Ask someone in town, maybe the innkeepers wife or random guard? about rumors, and I think after some time they'll say that Lareth's been captured and is being held in the unfinished east section of town. Go down to Lareth, he should be on the bottom floor, use a dispel magic scroll or the spell on him, then turn him invis and walk away. He'll say thanks and walk away, and you will now have him as a shoppie at the temple ambush site, and you can also rest there. Something like that.
In the inn at verbabonc there's a lady that trades with you if you have scorpp as well. I think you have to rescue her from the temple first though. Also when you have Scorpp, wiping the whole town of residents in Hommlet is easy and beneficial. I know for sure that Jeroo and the St. Cuthbert church fellows yield some nice gear!
Hey so new to the game and new to this site. In my 1rst playthru, I got scorp on my team, easy peezy, he just joined after I beat him up a bit. After I installed the circle of 8 he just fights me and dies. Is there something I am missing ? Did the mod mess up scorp , cause he was seriously my fav.
Worked fine for me with Co8. Once Scorpp is "near death" (red HP) the dialogue starts on his turn as expected.
I've also never had issues. I'm not that fond of him in the party for a long duration - but dialog between Hedrak and Scorpp is fun - so I have picked him up many times. You might have killed him too efficiently. (iirc...vague) you can hit him too hard and accidentally kill him when he's in the low hp conversation range. However the last many plays have been with temple+ and I can't remember basic Co8.
I never really kept him and have never tried to have in the party when I confronted Hedrack. Anyone want to share what that dialog might be?
I might have been mistaken about interesting dialog between Scorpp and Hedrack. I went through the dialog files and I only found: "I have killed everything up there. The sole survivor was this hill giant who is in my party now" Which is not terribly interesting. (pardons)
