I really apologize if this was mentioned in other areas; I couldn't find it. I found the Vista/testing thread, but this isn't really testing as the game runs fine so far on my Vista machine, and those posts seemed to be more of actual game bugs. My problem is in patching. When I try to patch, it says that the file directory cannot be found and the patch fails. I'm assuming that this has to do with Vista's file structure. Based on some of the threads I read, it seems that other folks with Vista were able to patch fine. So my question is, how do I patch the game in Vista?
I experienced this too, and it was solved by manually directing the patch to install to the right directory. http://www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1856#7 Try it, but if it doesn't work, I don't have a clue. Sorry! :shrugno:
Yeah, I saw that, but when I browsed with regedit, I didn't have that path option: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Uninstall I assumed it had something to do with Vista. I had different options after the software path.
Well, I got home and rebooted, and now for some reason the whole pathing was available to me, and it seems to work. Woot!
