    hi there.

i think i messed the file portraits.mes up. when i start a new game i can barely see any portraits, and the few ones are shown wrong and when i enter to choose a portrait the game crashes. well i just edited a bit from that file, wonder why that hapens.

anyway could anyone upload the original portrait.mes from co8 5.5 please?

    thanks in advance !

I believe it's in 5.5.0. Use the same utility you did first time to unpack the beta.tfm and take what you want. 7zip would open mine. ;)

thank you. but i've already thought of that. i think the files are in tfe-x.exe, and i have no tool to open it. the co8 files are placed when i activate co8 in tfe-x afterwards.

Nope. The portraits are in the "Circle of Eight Modpack 5.5.0 beta . tfm". Go to the file you downloaded, unpack it. Find the ...beta.tfm file, unpack it. NOTICE YOU HAVE TO UNPACK TWICE. Apparently, as you noticed, it's not there until you activate the game.

If I recall right it's: DATA/ART/INTERFACE/PORTRAITS/way down in the right corner.

I started with the logic that the game had simply been repackaged, rather than recreated.

    Enjoy!
