    Hi and Hello. . .

    I just want to report some (I don’t know if this is bug or something?) bugs?
    I also include my saved games for you to check. . .

    System:
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2
    AMD Sempron™ 2400+
    1.66 GHz, 1.50 GB of RAM
    Anti Virus (AVAST 4.8 home edition)
    Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

    I have installed the game in the ff order. . .
    -installed ToEE (How do I know if my game is European or U.S.A.?)
    -installed the 1st Patch then the 2nd Patch
    -Installed TFX v1 then Extract the NEW! TFX v2
    -Extracted the Circle_of_Eight_Modpack_5.5.0_BETA to my (D:\Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil)
    -Then Activated the Co8 Modpack 5.5.0 Beta

    - The clean game Cache (ON)
    - The Level Cap is set to 20
    - Use Level Cap (ON)

    ------

    First problem,

    NO VERBOBONC?

    When I tried the Cumulative Mods 5.0.6 patch I came across with this problem, and when I installed the Co8 Modpack 5.5.0 Beta the problem still occurs.

    Here how it goes. . .
    I went down the temple and seek these prisoners for me to go to VERBOBONC,
    I ask where verbobonc might be. Then she marks it in my map . . . but my map hasn’t been updated. . . (The map didn’t blink yellow)

    I checked outside the temple just to see if VERBOBONC is on my map list but. . .

    There’s no verbobonc in my list nor can’t click on the Arrow top of the “To Verbobonc”

    And then I loaded my saved game again and think (how about if I escort her to Verbobonc?) I thought that would fix it,

    But I’m wrong.

    She just joined my party, and still I can’t find where Verbobonc is?

    ------

    Now I’m setting her free and then…
    The prisoner vanished, but stayed in my party . . . (Weird???)

    ------

    Well, maybe this is easily to fix?

    The Gnoll Leader in Hickory Branch just mentioned the “killing the MASTER LARETH thing” but I’ve already killed this Gnoll Leader at the Moathouse…

    As I go on. . .

    I went down to the Crypts in Hickory,
    And then “Poor Elmo got stocked up outside the walls”
    My third member in the party also suffers this problem when entering the Crypts. . .

    About the “Agent Revealed quest”

    Jayfie’s dialogues are MISSING?

    (How can I tell RUFUS and BURNE that Jayfie is one of those who sabotage their plans?)

    I love the new Hickory Branch. The new map is gorgeous. But there seems to be a minor bug. When I enter the crypt, one of my 8 characters is always inside a wall. :twitch:

    I ran into the same problem as GA82. I am running 5.5 and fx 2.1 on vista have avast as my anti -virus and patche #2 on english version. As soon as combat starts one of the players is in the blacked out area to the right of the path leading to the Minatour.

    WindowsXP SP3, English version of ToEE, last version of ModPack with FrontEnd, unchanged.

    - The same problem with Jayfie, something must be wrong with his dialoge. Anyway, if you just kill him after being sent by Burne, you get the "Purveyor of Swit Justice" reputation anyway.

    - In the shop map at the beginning of the adventure, if I save and reload, I get a CTD the moment I try to scroll the screen. I guess it's not very common to save there...

    - The feat Combat Expertise doesn't seem to work. I have a character with a glaive, but I can make no AoO flatfooted. He has Dex 14 but only makes one AoO. I'm not sure if it is related to the MOD, as it is the first time I choose this feat.

    Combat Expertise has been troublesome for a while: thanks for the confirm.

    Otherwise, can I be a hard-ass and ask people to follow the bug-reporting protocol outlined above? It may seem bizarre or annoying to list your system stats just to report a broken dialogue, but this is often necessary. For instance:
    I had exactly this problem the first time I tested Co8 5.5. Twice. So I started using 'Run as Administrator' as Agetian recommends and the problem immediately disappeared.

    I'd recommend this for Silvannus (and in general) but I have no idea what OS he is using :shrug:

    The feat that grants the extra AoO's is not Combat Expertise - it's Combat Reflexes. Combat Expertise grants the ability to dump up to 5 points from your BAB to a dodge bonus to your AC.

    BUG REPORT

    Windows XP SP3/No Antivirus software (I use the free online micro trend)/US Version/FrontEnd V2.1/Barebone Modpack v5.5.0

    I've got Meleny the Druid girl in my group. I told her to never sell anything I gave her. However, I cant get her to give up the leather armor I gave for something better. Sure she could carry it all. But she is a very weak girl. There is no dialogue option to get her to give back what I gave her.

    Also, When I talk to her about her equipment and tell her not to sell anything I give her, she forgets all of her memorized spells. I have to select all the spells again and rest for a full 8 hours.

    In Verbobonc, the elven sorceress named Ariel will not converse beyond "That's quite a selection of scrolls you got there ..." When I first met her I had the option to give her my name or say the line above. I chose the line above. I'm guessing she is a vendor, but the conversation just exits after the above line.

    Skeletom, that's not strictly speaking a bug, due to the way the script works, when you tell her not to sell her equipment she actually leaves the party and rejoins instantly, thus taking advantage of the games built in "this stuff belongs to this character, you can't have it" mechanism, losing memorized spells is an unfortunate side effect. :(

    - When I ask Lareth take me to the temple through the hidden entrance, he takes me to the orc cave. It happens both when I have defeated him, or when I follow him after giving him the drow note.

    I've never been able to replicate the shopmap crash. I don't doubt it's happening to you but there's not much I can do to fix it if I can't reproduce it. Don't even have a clue why that would happen, tbh - it's not like the map is different than any other.

    Bug 0021b

    Combat Reflexes is buggy I guess. That won't be something I'll be addressing; I'd guess it needs a .dll hack.

    Bug 0024a

    Livonya's inventory management sytem can be difficult to understand. If you do a search on it you should find a few threads that explain it in greater detail. I used to think it didn't work properly too but I figured it out eventually. This won't be something I'll attempt to change either.

    Bug 0024b

    There have been numerous reports of problems with bartering in Verbobonc throughout the 5.0.0 mod generation. I plan to get to Verbobonc one day for a clean sweep, but it won't be anytime soon.

    Bug 0026

    There will probably be numerous reports like this one until all the dailogue-related worldmap changes connected to the map locations that were switched get ironed out. I thought I had covered them all but I guess not. Will fix soon.

    Here's a new one I believe:

    I took Spugnoir into the party and summoned a familiar for him, now if he dies it corrupts the save game, I presume because of the familiar because in certain instances I've had him dead and removed from party with his weasel still fighting alongside my party; and when it died there was no way to remove it and I had a dead weasel tracking me.

    Windows XP, American, patch 2, base Co8 5.5 with TFE-X; I believe that's everything yes? Oh yeah, and my gratitude!

    P.S.- And Gaear, sorry for the PM, realized Co8 emails were being auto-spammed.

    This sounds like a variation of the known 'NPC dies but stays in the party as an empty blue circle' bug. Nothing much we can do about that but thanks for reporting.

    btw, has anyone experienced any of the strange freezing in Hommlet that was reported with 5.0 and the 5.0.6 CMF?

    Err, the thing is it wasn't him but his familiar, staying and fighting with me after Spungoir's death and map changes, and when it died it did not become an empty circle but just remained a dead weasel. Still, if this is some incarnation of the above engine bug, sorry.

    And I've another one, somehow I doubt this is tied to your work but I figured I'd post just incase. At some point in Hickory Branch I noticed that Serena started looting from the Extraplanar chest; NPCs as far as I know aren't supposed to do that and Elmo doesn't seem too. I don't know what caused her to start, in all likelyhood I think I'm going to kill her out of principle (WTF, I liberate you and you steal from me wench?) but if your interested I have made a save where this is replicable.
