This is a really stupid question and everyone can laugh away, but I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. How does a Wizard learn a spell from a scroll? What do I need to do with the scroll? Hopefully, someone will tell me! Thanks in advance.
1 wizard with good spellcraft skill/ wizard level vs level of spell attempt to be learnt. 2 identified wizard scroll – not unknown – druid cleric ect spell 3Locate copy scroll in the radial menu 4 good luck
Check the right side of the radial menu. The scroll has to be in inventory, identified and learnable by the wizard. So the healing spells, for example, can't be learned. Be careful, there's a chance of failure. I hope I hope I answered your question more carefully this time. Hey, One nd, ya ninjad me! And with a better post! :ninja:
Awhile back, in another game, I did find a copy scroll in the radial menu, but this game's Wizard doesn't have it. So I thought I had the wrong idea. I haven't looked at feats to see if that's what needs to happen, though...and I don't think I selected copy scroll as a feat. Will check this again, but does it come (the copy scroll selection) with the level of the Wiz? And thanks for the super-fast response(s)! Edit: My Wizard is R3W1. No copy scroll in the radial menu. He has relatively high spellcrafting (11) for a L1. The scroll is identified...it is Protection from Evil. L1 spell. The Wizard has other L1 spells. Is the problem that he isn't high enough in levels? I checked the info for feats, and copy scroll isn't a listed feat, so it must come through leveling up?
Copy scroll is not a feat. It's an ability that all wizards have. It's based on spellcraft. Have you used read magic to identify the scrolls, yet? Edit: Now YOU ninjad me. Cool! :ninja: You might save the game, go in the Wench, add a new wizard from the desk or add Spugnoir, and see if they can copy the srolls.
I think I figured out what was wrong...I think. I got confused about the spell. The scroll was Charm Animal, a L1 spell. And it is a Druid spell? So maybe that's why. My Bard had the Protection from Evil scroll, and when I put it in the Wizard's inventory, the Copy Scroll appeared in the radial menu. So...fixed! (I really wish I didn't do such stupid things...much easier in real life, you just laugh and so does everyone else because you are soooo self-effacing. But doing it in writing just makes you feel...well...stupid.
First of all, other people learn from your mistakes. Secondly, there's no one reading these things who hadn't already been there.
