Should a druid of level 9 and higher not be immune against the spell. He aint at least in my game. Alas it could be that all my saves are somewhat corrupted even if i un and reinstalled the whole game with the newest patches. Could someone else clarify if he is or should be immune or if its just my fucked up game..? p.s. nontheless i might add co8 is great :notworthy
Venom Immunity is against ALL poisons according to SRD. However, in 3.0 it only applied to organic poisons. The problem you discovered probably stems from this as the game was originally created with 3.0, then upgraded at the last minute to 3.5 before released.
So should high-level Druids / Monks / Paladins be immune or not? Thats something we can actually fix.
I used cloudkill and stinking cloud often in NWN 1 with immunity against poison. Especially with a rouge and these mask which gives the feat. So it´d be nice if co8 could ad this in ToEE.
On a similar note, the Wind Wall spell is supposed to protect the recipient from poisonous gases, yet my Clerics and Druids are still affected by both Stinking Cloud and Cloudkill while under that spell's protection ... :sadblinky
Update: I lied We can't fix 'Stinking Cloud' in this manner for reasons I won't go into here. Can't even stop it affecting Druids, let alone folks with Windwall cast. I am hoping to have better results with Cloudkill. On a more positive note, I have added a thing so that Contagion can't disease Paladins (unless they are fallen) and also added some effects for it, since the spell calls for a non-existant 'Contagion' spell effect. The spell effects were instead designed to differ for each disease, but they are inconsistently implemented, so i just threw in somethnig that looked good
