The looting bug was fixed by something that Moebius did in the temple.dll, which has become standard in all subsequent versions of the Co8 patch from at least 4.0.0 onwards. So if you have everything installed properly it simply shouldn't be happening. Ergo, something in your install is in the wrong place.

You said on one of the other threads that you are confident that you are running the Co8 5 module. When you run it, ToEEFE takes the temple.dll out of the modules/Co8 5.0.0 folder and moves it into the root folder for the game to use. So lets check if it is there.

    * run ToEEFE, select Co8 5.0.0 and start it up. Quit it then have a look at the root folder (Atari/Temple of Elemental Evil). There should be a copy of Temple.dll alongside the data folder, modules folder, ToEEFE and everything else that lives in there.

    * Check the date modified stamp of that file temple.dll. If you are using Co8 5 with CMF 5.0.6 (the latest one) then it should be 5/7/2008.

If its not there (and I dare say it wont be since you are still getting the bug) and you are using the standard ToEE .dll, then check whether your original Co8 5 temple.dll is in the right place. It should be in Atari/Temple of Elemental Evil/modules/Co8 5.0.0 folder.

Also, are you using the download version of the game? In that, the .dll comes bundled in the .exe, and thus you'll be using the old (loot bug) .dll whether you want to or not.

If that's the case, google a no-cd for Atari patch 2 and verify that its size is 33 kb or so as compared to much larger. Use that in conjunction with the new .dll as Ted describes above and you should be good to go.
