That might break things - never thought of that. Hmm...
I sorta meant that too ;)

Gumby-Dammit!! And here I thought I'd seen him in that house past the Inn, the one without a door icon ... I should'a known a SINGLE door icon wouldn't disappear on me.

'S what I get for playing drunk ... the first time through ...

Heggrim seems to be very temperemental. I've started the game twice now and both times he has been polite, helpful and sold stuff on the fist visit, but has clammed up after I've been adventuring for a while. During the night time he has two lines of conversation as normal, but during the day all you can say is "I must go. Good day." On neither occasion had I knowlingly done anything disreputable in town.

Ahhh... sorry about that, my apologies to you and anyone who missed the Interim Patch.

There is an interim patch to go over the top of 1.0.3 to fix this bug and a couple of other little niggly ones. Get it HERE, last post.

Crikey, that was 5 months ago! I better get a move on  For anyone keeping track, I have not had a single CTD since implementing my CTD fix, so hopefully that horror is taken care of.

Getting a crash to desktop just by panning the camera or moving too quickly around the keep. I'm patched to 1.0.3. Running Windows Vista. Is this a known issue? I'm having some trouble searching and posting to this thread also.

I think this was recently reported as an issue in ToEE - someone panning around Hommlet - so may be a Vista thing, yah. I think the trick is not to pan and move at the same time: do one, then the other. Reminiscent of the Node bugs too.

Having cleaned out the Lizardfolk, I was looking forward to well deserved rest in the Keep. Unfortunately, there was a terrible disaster: Upon returning to the Keep map, the game crashes (CTD). Sometimes I can move a few feet. I managed to sell stuff, and returning to the overland map, could continue exploring, but any return to the Keep repeats the problem. I am running on rather elderly laptop (Pentium 4, 1GB memory), but I never noticed this on the ToEE.

Running ToEE Front-End X version 2.1 and KotB Version 1.11 (with ToEE patch 2) on Windows XP.

Yeah, unfortunately the "come back to the Keep CTD bug" does not seem as crushed in this version as I had hoped. Still got some ideas as to why its happening, so will be sorted out for the final release.

Update on this: I have now introduced a fix that should hopefully deal with the CTD bug (for one thing, it explains why it was happening). Watch this space for more details in coming months :)
