Has anybody seen this terrible bug *cough* cool feature *cough* where if you level up a fighter on the standard extra-feat levels (3, 6, 9, 12, etc.) and your new fighter level is one where you're NOT supposed to get a bonus feat on that level (1, 3, 5, etc.) you actually do? Just add any feat normally, then right-click any of the feats that don't have a separate menu like weapon focus and it gets added to the hidden(?) class feat box. To maximise the exploitation of this, make a character that is a fighter up to level four, add one level of another class (rogues work great), [two fighter, one other, repeat]. By level 10 you'd have a Fighter 7, Rogue 3 with 12 feats (13 if the character is human). This does not work with the extra wizard class feats.
To be exact you do get a fighter feat at level 1. But I get what you mean. I've tested it and what you say is true. You can select a feat normally at level 3 but it shouldn't allow you to pick another. I clicked on Blindfight and it greyed out. Not sure if this is a bug from the original dll/exe but it is highly probable that it is dues to moebius's new temple.dll. He did quite a bit of tampering to correct certain interface bugs, so he might have broken something in the process. At any rate, the only one who can address this definitively is moebius himself. Thanks for the notice. Still I do believe such bugs are a player's choice. They can still choose not to trigger them and avoid the whole affair.
Origin Sorry, i missed the Level 1 bit there. Actually, the first time I saw this happening was while running the official patch 1. I'm guessing they coded it to accept bonus feats at every level, but only show the boxes at every second one.
Ah, I'm glad it's not moebius's fault. There have been quite a few complaints regarding the interface. Apparently it is rather quirky and certainly a valid bug but if I were to decide on priority, I would rather request moebius to focus on other areas first... like recoding Craft Arms and Armor
