So here I am, snowbound in my home with my boyfriend's 80-year-old Grandpa with nothing to do. I'm considering breaking out a Harry Potter book or (gasp) playing a 100 turn game of Mario Party... All I really have to dois listen to music. Anyone care to share something worth listening to? I'll share a few of my current favorites:

Smiling Swine by The Dear Hunter

The French Passion by Foxy Shazam

Semi Constructive Criticism by Circa Survive

The Church Channel by Say Anything

    Insurance by The Higher

Heretics and Killers by Protest the Hero

Pray for Plagues by Bring Me the Horizon

    Seriously check it out.

Hummm, i must be getting old, cos i never heard about them :p

In case you still want to give a chance to a book, instead Harry the Potter, see if you can find some books of Barbara Hambly; they have a similar structure than Harry's books (a mistery, and charcters trying to solve it), but without being so...soft.
There are a serie of adventures of a barbarian, (i think in english it's called Sunwolf?)...one of their books it's called "the witches of Wenshar", to have a guide.
By all means, read a Discworld book, from Terry Pratchett. You wouldn't be able to stop.

Oh dam, now I got that Tubular Bells album cover in my head again and can't recall the music to go with it. You've forced me to go figure out how to work a turn table again...now where did its remote control go?

I still urge anyone into heavier music to check out Professional Murder Muisc. For those of you (read: Krunch) interested in Rammstein and similar music, I recently (okay, about a year ago) stumbled across a band named Sacriversum that I think is pretty cool (specifically, their Sigma Draconis album). Oh, and there's always Linkin Park. :D

EDIT: For the sake of mentioning it, http://projectplaylist.com/

-__- My playlist is out of date and most of the songs have been removed. I gotta get around to fixing it someday...
