Yet again, we are sorry for the delay, we're still trying to upload the demo.
No idea why it won't upload.

On the contrary Maggit, it is now fully uploaded and awaiting verification, virus scans and general scrutiny by the ModDB team (personally I think they just wanna play it before everyone else can). ;)

This verification process can take upto 2 days though I very much hope it's sooner than that.

All I can suggest is that those interested in receiving the mod as soon as it becomes available should register themselves at ModDB.com then go to this page and click the link to "track this mod" you should receive an email or PM on the site when the mod finally does becomes available.

As soon as the mod does officially go live, we will of course post a very proud announcement thread on the Co8 boards to let all of our non-ModDB members know that the modis available.

Thank goodness, I've tried to upload it almost everywhere in
every form. I was just a few minutes away from finishing uploading
KotB at FileFront but at the last moment some error showed up...
Eh... modern technology my ass. ;)

Thanks for the VERY helpful information, Allyx. I was wondering about that. I've registered at ModDB.com, am tracking KotB, and waiting patiently...

I can confirm (as someone with avatar-like powers at ModDB's Co8 bit) that the Demo is definitely there, on their server, awaiting verification.

When they decide to allow the public at it is up to them. Soon, we all hope :)

*laugh* Let me guess, they do not work on weekends and, thus, do not provide support on weekends. So, they won't even acknowledge it is on their site and needs to be verified or validated until sometime on Monday, hopefully, before the close of business on Monday. And, then - at that, it will be Wednesday or Thursday before they have been able to check it out. *grin* LOL ;P

ok, she's out! We tried mirroring on FileFront while we were waiting and they came to the party in less than half a day (and with only one retry that I know of).

Thanks to Gaear, Allyx and Maggit for their long hard work getting this thing to the public - now go upload it!

fyi - Cable modem and DSL modem connections should take about 2 hours (or less) to download the file.

In about 45 minutes, I've downloaded almost 140 MB and only have an estimated 50 or so minutes remaining to download the other half of it.

HINT: Go grab something to drink and watch some tv or a movie or, maybe, find something to do while you wait for it to complete its download. This will give me some time to watch the new release on dVd of the Russell Crow recent remake of the American cowboy Western movie named 3:10 to Yuma.

Hmm..didn't see the demo there. Must you sign in as a registered user of ModDB to download from their site?

I love my cable modem, it only took about 10 minutes to download. Now the winzip extraction......that's taking longer!

Thanks for all the work guys!

Doh! Okay - just found the post that says it's released and am happily downloading both the demo and the patch....my dsl should have both downloaded in about 10-15 minutes....don't know if that's a bandwith thing or what, but sure beats waiting an hour or more....

An another note, reading some of the notes the KOTB mod does not support the portrait and voice packs. I have these already installed in MOD 5.0 and CMF 5.4. If I run KOTB demo, will I have to do a clean install, or just not install them into the KOTB 'module?' Hope that makes sense....

Oh, and  thanks for everything guys.

Got the KotB demo downloaded from FileFront in a little less than 5 minutes w/ a cable connection. Started off @ 1.4 mbps and slowly worked its way down to 770 kbps. I don't have an account there, so thats not a bad download rate.
