For as long as I've been coming here I've been seeing "KOTB" and thinking it was called "Keep on the Borderlands!" as in a directive to stay on the border lands. Not until I saw screenshots recently did I realize that it was in fact "THE keep" as in a smallish kind of a castle located on the borderlands. That makes so much more sense. I thought it was funny, anyway.
DOH DOH DOH! Well, he did invite us... Anyway, I found this when doing a Keep on the Borderlands search via Google. I thought it was funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7tMRNORuc4
"Now we play the waiting game... . . . . awww I hate the waiting game! Let's play hungry hungry hippos!" - Homer J Simpson
LOL It happened the same to me! Since english it's not my native language, was easy to make that mistake, and also misunderstand some jokes... Thank god, there are those smilies :Being_a_s
Other Keep on the Borderlands oddities, aside from there being some garage band called 'Keep on the Borderlands:' There is apparently some muslim woman called 'Kotb' who is a proponent of female muslims being sexually liberated. Or something like that. _O: I've searched 'KotB' and come up with links to her so many times that I'm afraid the US Justice Department is going to suspect me of being linked to Al Quaida! (Between that and my constant searching for information on flight CO 8, I'm a goner for sure.) This shouldn't be news to anyone, but I'm continually struck by the unfortunate naming coincidence of the in-development game 'Borderlands.' Because of this, they hog most of the search hits for 'Keep on the Borderlands.' (Oh! You mean 'Borderlands?' Here - have some 'Borderlands' links!) How nice. There's another one, but I can't think of what it is right now.
Yeah, I came across that Kotb lady a few times - k-t-b means 'read, book' etc in semitic languages if I am not mistaken. Maybe she should be an NPC in the game. It would have to be written veeeeeeeeeery carefully though
