Sorry, I only posted it because you asked for one.. I figured you had a reason to want it.. Something about certain fixes which you wanted to make optional? Dialog changes or something? Unfortunately, it's been a good 18 months since I worked on that mod, and I've since deleted all the files. I was lucky had still had Inno installed on my laptop, else I wouldn't have even remembered the name I think they are refering to performing different installation paths depending on the platform. This isn't what you want - you want (I thought), to allow the user to choose to install certain "fixes" which you aren't certain you want to check into the main branch of software. When I was using it, I did it with Inno Setup 2, so I doubt they would have taken this functionality out. From the Features page: I'm thinking you couldn't do "Custom" without allowing the user to select what features he wants to install. Anyway, if you don't have a need to do optional installs, don't worry about it, I figured since you asked if anyone knew of one, you had a use for it. -Auldar
Doh, no edit button. I guess you guys decided not to make that dialog change optional anyway. If you do want to use this installer, I could always ask Tony K, the current owner of the mod if he could email me a copy of the .iss file he uses to create the mod pack. Let me know, -Auldar
Yes, that would be nice.. Every once in a great while there's a fix that's controversal... But with the fact that really only MOebius is making the fixes... learning more about the iss stuff is something I'd like to do anyway I started taking a look at adding some more 6th level spells to the game... The mass "Bull's strength/fox's cunning" look like they may be easy to implement.
No worries - I've asked Tony K for any .iss file he has which you can use as a template. Hopefully he still uses Inno, or has an old .iss file he can send. I'll attach it here if/when I get it -Auldar
Tony K has provided me with the latest version of the iss file, as well as an isl file he uses to override the default "messages" seen when using the installer. From Tony K's email: Have a good read through the iss file, and it should make sense.. Eventually -Auldar
I know I'm a little late but I just recently got TOEE and was wondering does this patch work with the Official Patch 3 from Troika? I've already installed Patch 3 before I found this Community Patch. -Jason
I have the same problem. I just installed the game, with the official patch and this mod, and I get 511 magic missiles :\ .
Hit the space bar... ...once you've selected the appropriate number of targets for your character's level (example: 3 missiles at L-5). This will activate the spell, and minimize complications.
Did you install temple.zip as well as Co8 3.04? Check the file "288 - Magic Missile.txt" in your data\rules\spells subfolder. One of the lines should read "max_Target: -511". If it doesn't, then you haven't installed the patch correctly. You need to extract ALL the files in temple.zip, not only temple.dll.
