Desperate Housewives in version 5.04 question - Where are the goblins?

    I don't know if this is a bug or a situation like the rat king where he only shows up at night, but...

    While playing version 5.04 and trying to do Sunom's goblin tenant quest, they don't seem to be upstairs like they were when I played 5.00. Is this a bug or a puzzle?

    I think its a bug. I haven't been able to replicate it - they always appear for me - but it has been mentioned before.

    Could it be caused by not deleting .pyc files Ted?

    ie someone plays 5, then throws on 5.04 without deleting the .pyc files.

    Did you talk to the person downstairs before going upstairs to get to the goblins? I think they only appear if you talk to her first (forgot the name of the person though)

    Oh, I definitely forgot to do that. Let's see if that fixes it.

    EDIT: Ok, yeah, that was definitely the problem. Thanks. I'm going to go sit in the corner with my dunce cap again.

    Rufnredde wrote a program which does that for you and removes any worries about deleting .py files by accident. It's in the /scr folder and is called batch IIRC.

    edit: and don't worry about the dunce's cap. Trawl long enough through the forums and you'll see we've all been there ;)

    Well, if someone plays 5.0.0, then throws 5.0.4 over the top without clearing the map cache, then this will be one of the many problems they have.

    Come to think of it, I seem to recall this was the problem last time too. Good call Zeb :thumbsup:
