Mine is my RL nickname. Taken from a character in the magic roundabout. He looks like a tomato on a spring with a pornstar moustache.
Hey! I made one of these threads about 3 years ago - wassa matta with u people? ShiningTed was a name suggested for me by some MSN group or other I tried to join many moons ago. It asked me for a name. "Ted" says I. "We already have a Ted" says they, "why not call yourself ShiningTed?" "Meh, I grow weary of this group" says I, and never did sign up. But for some reason the name stuck in my head.
Mine is known to many here already... I was teaching Ax throwing to some Boyscouts at a camporee and needed a name here so I thought it might fit. b.t.w. will be doing it again soon... now I just needa target... where did he run off to
Laziness. When I sign on for stuff like this, I usually use my yahoo moniker. Kouns is the name, 2112 is one of my all time favorite albums. (Yes, albums- records, platters; Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.) If I named myself for a character, it would be Felan. It's Irish, and belonged to a skillful fighter/thief, level 12/14(AD&D 1st ed.) Be of good cheer, Shiningted, my dome reflects as well. We're simply at the forefront of evolution.
Damn straight, look at our taste in music... Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now - Damn great song Actually, the Big Zimm is in Sydney atm, but I've seen him so many times before...
My screen name is a perversion of my real name Alex, somehow I chose that instead of the "ShiningAlex" suggestion I was offered by Yahoo when I signed up for an email account, all those years ago.
Fargo is also the name of the character from the TV show Eureka on SCI-FI. That show gets better and better.
I happened to be going through a green day obsession around two years ago in the days of my hormonally unballanced youth and loved the sound of "whatsername." I thought it sounded all mysterious and whatnot. When I made my hotmail email whatsername wasn't availible so I tryed tacking on an 89, the yr I was born, but that was unavailible as well. The next step was to try the birthyears of 2 of my immediate family members, my dad and my stepmom. My dad was bprn in 1969, and as we know, 69 has some *ohter* connotations that I really didn't want to associate myself with. My stepmother was born in 74, and that was availible. and that's the story.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that ever since whn got her latest avatar, she always speaks in the tones of the drivethrough window microphone? :mrhappy:
Hail all, Haha.. Had a tough day at the Atari (just kidding) office... So this thread delivered some much needed laughs. After seeing some names I figured there would be some good backstories behind them zuluwarrior: lol! Best nickname story I've heard Half Knight: You.. uh.. created the whole world in detail? Holy shit! and here I am having a hard time creating my first PnP character background story! Very impressive man, I'll definitely check out whatever I can find. Ax Thrower: lol, I also have an obsession with throwing axes.. actually all axes (s that weird?) Allyx: Wow, I love that spelling of Alex. I want to steal it for a D&D character (but I'd feel cheap) :-( Thanks again for the laughs.. now back to work
Its good to see an american playing a real sport, (I thought that you were South African with a name like that.) look mom no pads http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyrIlHtpMuE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CChnYUSd_vc
I remember; but I didn't want to discourage the lad - our prior communications being what they were. So, wtf says I.
