I know that when you free the Prince and take him out of the temple he offers you a reward. I was woundering if I was full on party members and cant escort him out do you still get the reward? Also does any one know how long you have to wait for the elfs to head back to there land before they reward you?
No you only get the good reward if you have him join your party and take him all the way back to a town (but not Verbobonc). Dunno exactly how long it takes for the reward parties to show up, just continue playing and they will show up, and make sure your party members each have at least 4 empty spaces in their inventory for Thrommel's reward party, an at least 1 enpty space for your party leader for the elves reward.
I've seen the Prince reward as early as 14 game days later but it's usually happens by 30days. The elves are unpredictable, what else. Don't be loaded down with loot and have room in the inventory. The pc who spoke to him in the temple gets Scather and needs 5 open slots in their inventory for the 2 badges, potion and ring.
In my current game I took him outside the Temple and he said thanks! and left my party. Do you have to actually bring him to a town, or just out of the Temple, to get the reward? I have a save game with my party just before I leave the Temple (main Temple map exit), so should I load that and leave a different way? Can't remember if he disappeared when I left the temple the first time, or just hopped out of my party.
Only? That's a hell of a lot of money. IIRC you also should receive the Unicorn ring and an elven chainmail.
Hmm, maybe it will work in verbobonc then, I know someone took him to verbobonc via teleport and he didn't dismiss himself, but then, that might have been with an old install (before 5.0.3).
Note: What you receive depends on your party alignment and reaction and if you drop him off where he wants to go.
there is even a 5.0.4 look in this thread for details of what the patch contains. WARNING: there is no installer for the CMF so pay close attention to the installation instructions, otherwise you might screw up your installation. Furthermore, this patch includes Beta versions and works in progress so bugs may occasionally be encountered. [EDIT] Moved wizgeorge's post to this thread as it was off topic for this thread.
