    Hello guys,
I have a little problem of stability with ToEE...it's in the village of Hommlet, around Jaroo's hut...I am starting Amily quest and well...when I try to leave there's an echo and the game crashes to desktop.

    "AppName: toee.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: temple.dll
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0009f20e"

Actually I've tried a couple of times to go back and do things in a little different ways...sometimes I am able to leave the hut, but then, after a couple of seconds, the game crashes...or when I try to use world map, it crashes...sometimes it also crashes when I try to save...

I've tried to use the updated Moebius temple.dll from Sorcerers.net (the original link doesn't work), but nothing changes...and Windows states that the problem was caused by temple.dll trying to write somewhere it couldn't (it's always the same shit with windows!)!

Anyone's some ideas how to go on from this point?

I mean...going back and doing different "steps" isn't much a solution, since I tried and this solution definitely doesn't work...

What official and co8 patch versions are you using? It's all well and good complaining "this thing don't work" but if we know nothing of your installation process, there's little we can do to find a solution to your problem.

    Ok, sorry...

At first I was using Co8 5.00 with ToEE 2nd Official patch, then I tried to use the temple.dll from Sorcerers.net...however it crashes in both cases... :(

To state my complete installation...well...actually I've installed all three official patches at first, then I've done the trick of the second installation of 2nd patch to cancel the 3rd (since I've read this on this forum I thought this shouldn't be a problem) and then I've installed Co8 v. 5.00...and, well, I've no weird mod on ToEE...

May be I've tried the quickload cheat and the characters were a bit "tweaked" at creation (just stat tweak with memory cheat...) a couple of times, but it shouldn't pose a problem (apart on my cheater coscience!! :D) , right? :-?

P.S.: For completeness, I do use a no-cd patch of ToEE.exe...actually I do own the original (Italian) copy of the game, but Atari here never supported much this localized version and obviously I thought that working on an English-language version would make less problems with the mod or patches...

Mmmmh...the quickload cheat or the tweaked stats? :-?
Also I've made a lot of cash by steal-resell gems to shopkeepers, but that should be a pretty "regular" way to make cash...I mean...it's not cheating (just conning! :D)...

Tweaking stats through external character editors,
or through the console (though probably if you give
your characters stats of over 100 points ;)). Quicksaving
and quickloading isn't recommended too, as it corrupts
save games... Don't console in items if you are not sure
that a given proto number exists, this also crashes and/or
    corrupts your saves.

If any one character stat (or more of the six stats) along with respective stat modifiers exceeds a total of 43 for one or more stats, there can be serious problems including inexplicable game CTDs.
