Well' ive encountered a bug with the chest that appear near Hommlet's Blacksmith. He asked me to look for traps and open it, but there's like a small zone around the chest that prevent me from going near it. And anywa, the chest doesn't appear as a selectable item. I can't disable traps from afar, neither open it with a spell. Secondly, I've completed the quest for the masterwork ites, and gave him the Giant's head. Came back in the morning, he give me his speech that he has some, then I still go to the barter screen with the same old items. Any idea someone what caused this?
The 24 hours you have to wait has to be done off-map - you can't just stand next to the Blacksmith and hit 'pass time'. Try going into the Wench and wait for another day. I don't think u can open it with a spell, no. U have to pick the lock
You were right about the masterwork items, tho I've waited in the Wench last time. But I've waited only till morning, so not a full 24h has passed I guess. Thanks . But the chest still isn't unlocakable. It's like some big obstacle, can't click on it. I have to come from behin the blacksmith to talk to him :\
Ummm... I don't know if it would help or not.... Have u tried selecting ur thief and right clicking on the chest and then selecting "open lock" from the radial menu... It might help.... Just a suggestion....:nerd:
Yea, i did try it, it's usualy like that that I open chests But right now it's no different from clicking on the ground:errf:
Yea, I've got Atari patch 2, with Co8 mod 5.0.0 and 5.0.3 cumulative fixes, with the temple dll fixe 16.0.3. And I've got Co8 Portait and voice packs, and Gaear's New movies v2, but I don't think they can be the cause .
Hmmm... thats the current prefered setup I take it no-one else running this setup is having such issues? Any ideas, folks?
I remember that during one of my runs the quest was broken too. I could reach the box though, I couldn't tell the Blacksmith I've unlocked it. Oh, wait, you actually have to open it after unlocking to complete the quest. Silly of me... It seems that you have some strange bug here, which is a single (I hope) instance and you will not encounter it again. Sorry, I have no idea what may be wrong.
Oh well, if I remeber well there's not really anything woth in that chest, so I suppose I'm not missing on much.
The chest contains a Horn of Fog, and about enough coins to identify it. If nothing else, you could use the console to give it to yourself. give 12589
