runtime error!!!

i have installed the game twice now with the 5.0.0 front end mod.
and when i launch the game the CD starts to spin up and then the runtime error message pops up.
i have tried setting the affinity of the processor to only run as a single core.
i have tried different settings in windows i do not have any GFX settings "forced" via the nvidia tweaker.

specs-
windows XP serv pack 2
core 2 duo @6400 2.13
1G of ddr2 ram
geforce 7900 pci expressX16

Do you have the Microsoft .NET? I had the same problem until I downloaded that thru Windows Upgrade.

 

fyi - I'll take a swing at this issue this weekend from home if needed.

 

Download and install the Microsoft dotNET 2.0 Framework Redistributable

Required: Before installing dotNET 2.0, install the Windows Installer.

for Windows XP Home and Pro (32-bit Windows operating system)

(1) Windows Installer 3.1

(2) dotNET Framework 2.0 (x86) version for 32-bit Windows
