After making a comment that i had no idea how to get a custom avatar working (despite searching for the option) Spike's been trying to help me find the option, but it seems that for me, the ability is curiously absent on my user CP 'edit avatar' section. http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/4443/avatarsyj2.jpg I tried deleting cookies/internet history etc, no cigar there. (Spike suggested the yellow triangle thing down the bottom, but thats just for entering the page you want to go to in the avatar lists). Anyone else experience this? or is there something im missing
Wow. That's very strange. I can't say I have any idea why that would be happening. I'm quite certain that my custom avatar option is there... EDIT: I just checked, and indeed it is. It appears you're missing a rather large box at the bottom of that page. Anybody have any idea on why that would happen?
Wierd..... I have a box that says upload an avatar from your computer, down on the bottom below the url request.
The only thing I can think of would be... if the Australian web browsers are somehow different from all the other ones? That for some reason it can't generate that box? I mean, since you and Ted are the only ones I'm aware of that have the problem... But... it still doesn't really explain anything.
Try it now VP. I think I found the problem and fixed it. For some reason you were stuck in the Users Awaiting Email Confirmation user group, rather the Registered Users user group. The former group does not allow custom avatars, while the latter does.
If I had known you were going to change your avatar to a sheep with fangs, I wouldn't have fixed it. You are very welcome.
