i stand corrected. My druid got stomped a few times in the Moat house, but a true solo is very possible. I've just started farting around the temple and my character is already 13th level. i do have him drag melony around or some others to haul stuff. and i do like equiping some o9f the good npcs with stuff. the druid has yet to craft anything because all stuff is available. I'll try the wizard or something like that next.
Re: solo adventure... (SPOILER) When I did my solo I found an Extraplanar Chest that I used to carry everything in it I recall getting it in the moathouse but not sure where it was Wazsa
Hmmmm ... I'm working on a solo adventure right now. I had to take a level of Wizard so I could use the scroll of Extraplanar Chest Lareth has ... and I'm considering taking a level of Fighter so I can use the holy longsword ... and the Troll Bone armor ... efectively. But otherwise Druid seems to be the way to go. The only "adventuring" I've done with NPCs thus far is to take Fernok into the moathouse with me to open chests and the like. Not for combat. Oh, and I took him along to Emridy Meadows, specifically to gain him some XPs so he could open the smith's locked chest. Maybe it would'a been better to wait 'til I had a chance to take Spell Penetration and Improved Spell Penetration, then cast Knock from a scroll. Does anyone know if those feats affect spells cast from magic items? If your Druid's getting stomped in the Moathouse, you're just not taking the right spell selection. Entangle + Produce Flame is a very sweet combo at lower levels. Later on, add Call Lightning, Flame Strike, Spike Growth and Spike Stones to the mix (you should be at least 8th level by the time you encounter Lareth if you're going it alone).
