    Hi all:
Hey are any of you guys "down under" gonna check out the comet this week? Comet McNaught is supposed to be very impressive with just binnoculars, from Austraila. If someone does check it out first hand, maybe drop a line here and let us folks on the other side of the planet know how cool it is :)

Ditto. Low angle & cloudy weather made viewing impossible from my spot here in the jungles & swamps.

I guess there are...I seen 'em on Croc Hunter. I, however, am somewhat north of you, there, Sir, where it's quite swampy & somewhat jungley.

Nope, no swamps in Orlando :)
You have to go south about 3 hours or more. Orlando is Mickey Mouse Land.......mostly tourest attractions, not that there's anything wrong with being a tourist........God bless them, they support our economy here. Swamps are Great! Me and a buddy paddled a canoe almost all the way accross the Everglades, East to West.

I saw it on both Saturday and Sunday nights. It was fantastic. Quite unexpected after the disappointment of Halleys all those years ago.

I was on the east coast at Copacabana, just north of Sydney, and the comet was clearly visible low in the western sky from about 8.30 to 9.30. As the sky got darker the trail was plain to see, quite high into the sky. The comet itself was not quite as bright as Venus which was in the sky at the same time. It should still be visible for a few more nights.

    It was quite seriously impressive,

You could see it with the naked eye, or did you use a telescope? Man.........I wish I could'a seen it. :)

Naked eye. We were on holidays, and I didn't even have binoculars.

The comet itself and the trail were both very clear, and as the sky darkened you could see the comet's trail quite high into the sky, even after the comet itself had set. Very cool.
