So I've finished up the big V, went back to Hommlet and pledged my undying love to Eddie's father. I'm still not sure why he is willing to let me go off adventuring when I should be nurturing Eddie :p

I've read that the moathouse gets repopulated. Do I need to speak to someone to activate the quest or do I just head over there and knock?

I put in a number of triggers for the moathouse so no matter how you play the game, it should trigger sometime in the middle-game. Last time I tried to list them, i was way out :scratchhe

If you've done Verbo-mod, you've probably hit one of them. Just wander on over. If you find some wild animals have wandered in out of the swamp, its worked :)

Great, I did run into some crazed boars or something like that.

    Off I go....

I'm curious. I killed the basilisk and I see that there are some frozen bodies around that area. Is there a way to turn them back to flesh?

I've tried a few assorted spell scrolls, and I've yet to find any that work. Even the ones that claim to release characters from being turned to stone. So, I think there isn't any way to turn them back to normal.

Those are window dressing for the lair of the creature.

o m G players who actually figured this out! The only feedback I have had on that issue lo these many months is "there seem to be some grey guys standing around that do nothing, I think its a bug..."

As Spike said, they are window dressing to give you a hint as to what the upcoming encounter is.

There must be lots of players who thought of that. Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Night have petrified characters too.

Hey, I never claimed originality! Actually I was inspired by the Gorgon encounter from Clash of the Titans.

I thought it was pretty obvious they were people turned to statues, so I never mentioned anything...

Once again, blame Baldur's Gate for that.
