I got the masterwork repeating crossbow from the tailor and I have plenty of bolts, which work fine in my normal crossbows, but when I equip the repeating crossbow it just tells me, out of ammo. This is a new install of TOEE with patch 2 and Co8 5.0.3. Not sure if I'm missing something or if this is a bug. --Mav
Actually I am having the same problem, and I equip the bolts to the slot underneath my primary weapon.
I'll take a look at this. Out of curiosity, are you using the latest CMF? Or did you use my small fluffy pack for this? Because I notice Blue fixed something with the repeating crossbows already.
Yes, I had the bolts equipped, with plent of bolts (50+). This was using the CFM 5.0.3. My guess would be there is some bit that needs to be set for ammo type that's currently not set or set to something invalid. But to be honest, I have no idea where to look for it. --Mav
Well my copy of ToEEFE has packed it in so I can't test this, but it seems a straightforward fix - can u guys give this a go? Edit: Btw, it goes in the data / rules folder, and is based on the current CMF 5.0.3 version which doesn't look to have been changed by any of the more recent submissions, so should be the most recent one around.
I hate to be dense, but what do we do with this file? I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to anything besides running an installer. --Mav
You were probably typing that while I was editing my thing with instructions, so I will reiterate expandedly. Unzip the zip file and put the file inside (protos.tab) in the data / rules folder. This assumes that you last ran Co8 5.0.0 (patched to 5.0.3) when you ran FrontEnd (if you are using FrontEnd. You should be). If you haven't run it last for some reason, start FrontEnd, run the Co8 5.0.0 module, then quit the game. This makes the Co8 5.0.0 data folder (data.5.0.0) the default data folder for the game. If you are not using FrontEnd, it would be the default data folder anyways. Either way, as I said, put the protos.tab in the data / rules folder. That file contains everything about everything and is the main file we edit in the game. Now, just run the game
Thanx Ted ... it works perfectly. I really appreciate you guys helping us non-modders out like ya do. :largeclap :largeclap :largeclap
