Brother Smyth and Masterwork Items *possible spoiler*

I recently finished Brother Smyth's "Masterwork Items" quest - I killed the giant in the Emridy Meadows - but he doesn't seem to have masterwork items to sell; he only has his normal inventory. Is he supposed to ask me what kind I want to see? I picked up that bit of info from another site, and he's never asked the character what kind of masterwork items I want to see in my game. What do I need to do to fix this?

 

Firstly: the quest is an addition of the Co8 modpack.
Secondly you have to take the giants head and give
it to him with the character that is currently holding it
in the inventory. Then Brother Smyth will say that you
have to come back some time later. Travel to Nulb and
again to Hommlet or rest (rest not wait!) for something
like 7 days (or was it one?) and he should have new
equipment for sale.

 

Brother Smyth tells ya to come back in 24 hours after you have given him the giant's head. Good luck.

 

I thought there was a time delay. I played on for a while -8 days in game, I think - and he still didn't update his inventory. Any thoughts on a solution?

Does your journal show the quest as completed? If so, look more closely at the items he offers for sale (hover cursor over them).

 

One more thing, make sure you are asking him about masterwork items, instead of trading with him.
