    hello,

This might seem a weird question but anyway I will give it a go. I have installed TOEE a long time ago played a little bit and gave up. Now I started again but I honestly don't remember if I patched the game to latest 5.0.2 or not.
The front end shows the module as 5.0.0. Is it suppoed to show 5.0.2 if its installed or does it always show 5.0.0 regardless of 5.0.2
So what is the way to understand if it is 5.0.2 or 5.0.0

Another thing in my mind is the temple itself. I have a true neutral group and I have finished the opening vignette by clearing the moat house. I have also finished nearly all quests in hommlett and nulb then I started to chop the buddies in the temple (I did not do any quests for any of them). I was wondering if I was supposed to get this temple thing as a quest from someone (you know, defeat the evil and save the world thingie) or should I just continue to butcher the goons there and defeat the game.

    thanks in advance

The Co8-5.0.0 installer is the latest stable release, the Co8-5.0.2 is available, and should add a module description noting it's version number and the date of the last update in the right hand side of the frontend window.

As for the temple, it can be played either way, however completing quests for evil people will make a paladin fall. I rarely do the temple quests, but have done them on occasion, how you decide to tackle the temple depends on how you wish to roleplay your group in thier situation, neither way is more effective than the other, so it falls down to personal preference.

    Thank you allyx
The description on the right handside says it is 5.0.0 so this means I didn't install (unpack) 5.0.2.

Will it ruin my saved games if I unpack it now?

One more question if you don't mind. I have cleared the dungeon lvl1 in the temple and rescued the two orcs and also two elven girls but the elvens didn't even ask me the way out and also no word on Verbobonc. They said thank you and disappeared.
I have a party of 5 pc and 3 npc. Could it be the reason? (But note that they didn2t ask anything to get out or joining the party)

    thanks again

edit : btw all pcs was level 6 and npcs also

Yes installing 5.0.2 will render your saved games unusable, installing 5.0.1 will not, and it should fix a variety of other issues until you complete this run through the game, then I recommend installing the 5.0.2 before starting your next game.

In 5.0.0 and 5.0.1, to get to Verbobonc you will need at least 1 NPC slot open in your group to get to Verbobonc, in 5.0.2 this is no longer required, the NPC's can be sent home alone, and you can travel there at your leisure and meet them there later.

    Thanks a lot...

I will just go with the 5.0.1 on this run.

FYI, the patch version (5.0.1, 5.0.2, 5.0.3) will appear at the bottom of the description in the right hand window of Front End. The top of the description will still say 5.0.0.
