Haven't used it in a while, but IIRC Evil NPCs should display little glows around them just as you cast Detect Evil nearby. It's not really all that useful in most of the game, but there are a few traitors in Hommlet, and two situations in the Temple when knowing who's Evil and who isn't might be handy.
I was in the tavern in Nulb when I tried it out, but nothing happened. Are the people in there evil? I just assumed they were.
Leaving the map and then returning, or opening your inventory or game menu and then closing it will often get the detect spell in question to work.
Refreshing the screen by exiting the inn and re-entering will work, I allways have a Paladin in my party, (ahem......Sirchet/Paladin). In the moathouse I think Lareth uses detect good or something close to it. Does anyone know what Lareth has cast that makes the cone coming from his room?
"well at least americans are non-evil, with the worst beer and cheese in the world." I guess you haven't been keeping up with the explosion of GOOD small breweries in the USA. Most of these are NOT corporations out strictly for making lots of money. One if the best (Stone Brewing) - they have been rated among the top 5 IN THE WORLD for the 10 years they have been in existance - and they donate a LOT of money for local charities. (Does that make them non-evil?) More importantly they are less than a mile from my house, so I can visit FREQUENTLY for free tasters. They DO NOT make the "fizzy yellow stoff" some people call beer - NO artificial crap, and NO preservatives - all pure natural ingredients, and their webmaster makes some of the BEST beer cheese I have ever had the pleasure to pig out on - washed down with copious quantities of their Arrogant Bastard Ale (7.4%), of course
I have never had anything be detected with detect evil spells. Even when i check out the monk in hommlet. only when a paladin dialogues with him. as far as america: California has the best breast augmentation population. I worked as a nurse on this one floor in San Diego and almost 35% of the nurses and nurse aids had boob jobs and were younger than 30. A very hot work enviornment! =8D
I really don't know about the "Breast augmentation" stuff. None of my female friends have ever needed any artificial enhancement. And what makes that evil?
That is exactly what makes it evil right there: The prevailing attitude that if a woman has less than a C cup (or D cup depending on who you talk to) she is lacking. No woman needs augmentation.
Amen. I WOULD say that if a woman is less than an A cup, she should think about it, just to add a little more femininity. But NATURAL breasts of all sizes are sexy and beautiful. Phony-looking Lara Croft conical warheads are NOT sexy. I would estimate that about 1% of breast augmentations are high enough quality that you can't tell IMMEDIATELY by looking at them. Boob jobs are RUINING the porn industry for me.... Don't even get me started on hair coloring and makeup... SHEESH!!!
Small, large, augmented or natural..........ALL are a blessing, and might I add welcome here Love of a persons body has a time limit........Love of that person can be timeless.
In some cultures, the "proper" size breast fills a champagne glass; in others, it'll clog a toilet. Isn't ass what it's all about, anyway? To each, their own.
I've heard tell that the only thing that really matters to guys the world over, down at the base of the brain stem, is the ratio of a woman's hips to her waist, with greater differentials between the two considered more attractive. This supposedly speaks to determining their suitability for bearing children. Maybe so, but both boobies and booties remain most distracting. In a good way. :mrhappy: :chick:
