OK. I am following Zebedee's comprehensive list of things to do with this game. First of all, as a total noob, the use of 3.8 and 5.0 is confusing. OK, but I figured that out. Now, where am I supposed to extract the patch (v5.0.1)?
I think I answered my own question. I extracted the patch to Program Files/Atari/Temple of Elemental Evil/Modules/Co8-5.0.0 That seemed to work. The front end now shows that it was patched. However, the game itself says version 5.0.0 on the splash screen at the start. Is this normal? Unfortunately, there's a problem with the Portrait/Voice Pack. It needs to be extracted to both the root directory AND the module? I did this and it works but that makes me wonder if I read that wrong.
Both the Portrait Packs and 5.0.x need to be extracted to your ToEE root directory. For you that would be Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil. This is the ToEE root directory. Both mods are set up so that if you extract them there every thing will go where it is supposed to. If you extracted it to Program Files/Atari/Temple of Elemental Evil/Modules/Co8-5.0.0 you are going to have problems.
