Bug: The Silence spell does not prevent use of items that require verbal commands to use, like scrolls, wands and staves. ADDRESSED - Added as Bug 049.
Bug/exploit: you can sell the summoned shillelagh for a hefty sum, despite the fact that it vanishes when the spell is over (so you can cast it over and over and keep selling it) ADDRESSED - Added as Bug 050.
I can also sell Blessed Water and despite the description, the spell doesn't require any gold to create Blessed Water. ADDRESSED ================================================== There is also another bug. After expiration of the Enlarge Person spell the weapon reach remains long. Thus a character with a sword has a reach of a longspear and can make lots of cheater attacks of opportunity. The reach remains also after a spellcaster dismiss his Enlarge Person spell. But if I go for a 8-hour rest while being enlarged, the spell dispells correctly and reach reduces to normal. I use 5.0.0. mod with 5.0.2. cumulative fixes, maxHP and humble NPC's. ADDRESSED - A Co8 problem.
All healing spells (except for mass healing spells) should have range touch, however in ToEE this does not always work the way it should. Sometimes a cleric can be 5-6 meters away from the character he's healing. Hmm it seems that all touch spells sometimes work on distance... (Heroism) ADDRESSED - Added as bug 072.
My experience is that the healing spells only work at a distance out of combat, where it doesn't really matter. In combat the caster has to move next to the target. ADDRESSED
Erm... maybe I wasn't clear on that... but I was casting in combat. That's strange but it doesn't occur always sometimes my char has to walk close and sometimes not, I don't know why it happens but it does. ADDRESSED
If the healer has a reach weapon, they can heal from a distance of 10'. Is that the effect you're talkin about, maybe? ADDRESSED
I'm not qualified to say that! Just that I've never noticed battle healing happening at any distance without a reach weapon. It could've happened to me and I didn't notice, &/or it could be common for other people, I guess. I was just offering one possibility. ADDRESSED
I confirm maggit's observations. Sometimes my cleric doesn't move and heal at distance in combat. I also noted it doesn't seem to happen with CLW, maybe only with CMW. At least from what I can recall. I will monitor the issue and report it if I can figure when and how it happens. ADDRESSED
I noticed that I could heal from a distance as well, I don't recall what type of C*Ws I was casting. ADDRESSED
Is this really a bug ? I mean - do merchants / shopkeepers actually know that it will vanish ? Yes, but only after the first try. ADDRESSED
It can be fixed really easy, I think. Shillelagh has a price in the protos, so why not change it to 0? And if there's another (not disappearing) available in the game it shouldn't be a problem to make a copy of it in the protos and change its number. ADDRESSED
A shillelagh is actually supposed to be a normal quarterstaff or club the caster has used the spell on. Any merchant used to dealing in magic items (which the merchants in Homlett really shouldn't be, but it's a video game.) would be able to tell the difference between an actual magic item and a spell effect. Any merchant that couldn't tell the difference, wouldn't buy one in the first place. ADDRESSED
