Spears in ToEE have a x2 critical multiplier. The d20 srd (don't have a PHB handy) says that spears (except shortspears) and longspears should have a x3 multiplier. So.....is the d20 srd wrong or is ToEE?
The SRD should be correct... Lonspears in ToEE have x3 criticals already, Spears have the correct x2 crit, but the Shortspears should have x3 crit but only have x2.
I imagine it's just a typo, but I think you meant to say that shortspears have the correct x2 crit, but the Spears should have the x3 crit but only have x2. The srd says that spears and longspears get a x3 crit but the shortspears just get x2.
Oops, that's right. spears should have the x3 crit range. :scratchhe Either way it's an easy thing to fix, just pop the protos.tab open in WB or ProtoEd, you'll understand the format after a short amount of time.
