    The dog in fallout 1 is actually the same one from The Road Warrior.

    Mine usually have very creative names, Like Jack for a Jackal, or Jackie if I think it's a girl.

    I named an attack dog Doggiestyl, and for some reason, he won't follow me. He just hangs out in the Air temple.

    Most people don't appreciate the sophisticated nomenclature I use in my games :p

    Like most things in Fallout and Fallout2 (where the dog can also be found in the Cafe of Broken Dreams,) the dog was lifted from a cult icon. That's what made Fallout so great.

    I'd call him Deaf-dog, since he doesn't respond to my commands!

    My animal companion was an owlbear i stole from just inside the temple 1st level with a wand of suggestion, kinda a costly pet since the spell wears off, but well worth it as far as fodder goes.
