Curing Amil

I cannot find this mentioned anywhere. And it you take too long in finding the item the quest is botched.

Where can one find the lotus flower Jaroo mentions for curing Amil in Hommett?

 

There is one random map that you can get to when traveling back and forth, to and fro on the ToEE World Map.

Let me emphasize that getting the particular map is RANDOM meaning you may not get that map in every game. You may have to travel 30 or more times in a row to get that map in a game and goes back to the idea that the map is a RANDOM encounter where you still may not get it. There is no definite way to get it, no specific thing or set of things to get that specific map.

As far as what map has it as a random encounter, take a close look at the name of the plant. One word in the name of the plant gives a hint.

 

so my next question is...is it really a big deal game play wise or reward wise if you never get a chance to save her because the map is random?

I mean..if it takes me forever to wander around trying to get that encounter...and I never do...times will pass and she will die.

 

yes and no...save her and, afterwards, talk with her father to have the option of buying special gear from a secret shop...do not save her and no buying special gear...is entirely your decision and choice

[EDIT] Let's just say it adds to the excitment [or frustration]...it's all good and adds a little more to the game, either way.

 

Any ideas on what the time limit is between when you accepts the quest and Ami perishes? I accidentaly started the quest while my characters were lv 2, so knew it'd be a longshot to be able to survive long enough to get to the right map. Once I do start it I'd like to have a realistic chance to get it instead of having to rest every 2 or 3 encounters and burn up time.

 

This isn't gospel or anything, but it looked like around 30 days give or take.

I wonder if there is a console way to reset that quest time or something like that.

 

IIRC the timer starts when you are on the map with the flower - before that you're ok

 

The item # for the swamplotus is 12900. Just use the console and be done with it. It's not very many xp anyway.
