    What does the magical Celtic tattoo that Mother Screng offers to give you do?
    Thanks.

    Looking at the proto, looks like +6 Intimidate, -4 Diplomacy, +4 Use Magic Device, +4 natural armor.

    As an aside, there are no "Celts" in Greyhawk, so I'm wondering what the heck a Celtic tattoo is doing there - should this be a "spiral tattoo" or a "Frost barbarian tattoo" instead?

    The Coolie Hat used to be an Asian Hat in the unmodded game, no Asia in greyhawk either.

    I did rename the "Roman Shortsword" to "Gladius" as that is what it was called by the roman's themselves, but (despite searcing the web) couldn't find appropriate names for the "Celtic Shortsword" or Egyptian Longsword" :(

    For the Egyptian sword, I'm tempted to call it a 'khopesh'. That was the traditional Egyptian sword, although the bend in it makes it more of a scimitar than a longsword and the Egyptians didn't use 'straight' swords.

    Will have a poke about for a decent term for the Celtic shortsword. The only thing which springs to mind is 'sax' but that's more of a long dagger.

    To me the "Egyptian Longsword" looks a lot like a Iberian Falcata.

    Sax is essentially the generic name for all those long bladed dagger/short sword hybrids. The most popular version gave it's name to the Germanic tribe Saxons. It's not the Celtic term for the weapon but I don't know that without doing some digging up. As the Celts were an oral society, I only know the weapon through Greco-Roman sources and they gave it the name of the weapons they were familiar with.

    Damn, that's right. It's been so long I can't keep the realms straight anymore. Especially since the last PnP campaign I was in, was Lankhmar. Thanx for the heads up.

    EDIT: I confused Thay with the Mage of the *mind goes blank... again*. You know who I mean.

    It's really quite simple - change the name to a word that makes sense - like "Arcane" or "Mystical" or something like that. If anyone cares to get creative, different powers could be modded in, and the names of the indigenous races could be used;

    Flannaeic, Oeridian, Suloise or Baklunish...

    New art could be produced to match each set.

    With all the other incongruities in this game, the color would be minor. Of course, this is just my humble opinion.
    @ Spike: What, no "Savage Coast" references? what of Cimmaron, or the Orc's Head Peninsula? Texeiras will send it's massive navy against you for this.:biggergri
